Acker returns to Hever by popular demand, celebrating the 50th Anniversary of his worldwide hit 'Stranger on the Shore'. The track was the first-ever single to be Number One simultaneously in both the UK and US, remaining for 55 weeks as Number 1 in the UK in 1962, and was the biggest-selling single of the year. 
Since that time Acker and his Paramount Jazz Band have firmly established themselves as one of the most successful and best loved British jazz bands of all time.

Humph's Original Band perform in tribute to the much loved British trumpeter, broadcaster and comedy host, who sadly died in 2008. The band are joined by award winning vocalist Tina May - Britain's premier jazz diva.
In January 2008, Humphrey Lyttelton celebrated sixty unbroken years as a bandleader. Today, the band's hallmark is still versatility, reflected in a repertoire which extends from early traditional to modern by way of Ellington and Basie.

This show celebrates the partnership of two of the greatest figures in popular music Ella Fitzgerald & Louis Armstrong who joined forces in the mid twentieth century in a celebration of the Great American Songbook. They produced fabulous and highly individual performances of super songs, including April In Paris, A Fine Romance, Isn't this a Lovely Day To Be Caught In the Rain, Tenderly, and They All Laughed.
 The performance is brought to you by the famous trumpet player Digby Fairweather & his poll-winng band The Half Dozen, and the singer Maggie Reeday whose voice and friendly personality bring real focus to the show.
