Headline Band: Fairport Convention
Sunday 13th May
Ticket Prices - £23/£15
Fairport Convention is unassailably the greatest folk rock band ever formed, with past alumni including legendary names within both folk and rock: Sandy Denny, Richard Thompson, Ashley Hutchings and a host of others.
Their music is a fusion of rock, folk and traditionally-influenced songwriting delivered with wit and charm. Ranging from songs from their seminal album Liege And Lief, which was voted 'Best Folk Album Ever' by Radio 2 listeners, to new material from their latest album, 'Festival Bell', the band are comfortable and relaxed with what they do.

Show of Hands are undeniably one of the strongest current forces in acoustic music – England's finest and most popular roots duo and something of a “people's band”, regularly voicing the hopes, fears and life stories of scores of people in song.
This is a band performing at its passionate peak, the audience reaping the benefit of the years of regular touring which has seen Show of Hands build a strong and wide grassroots support. They pace their show perfectly and remain professional to the core without ever slipping into slickness. Everyone who encounters them this summer is in for a real treat.
